The Organic Synthesis Group of Prof. Bonifazi in the Faculty of Chemistry is currently seeking a PhD student with research experience in supramolecular chemistry with biological applications.

Studies on supramolecular chemistry with biological applications, with emphasis on new approaches for the design of 2D and 3D cellular assemblies based on yeast - Schizosaccharomyces Pombe and using an external stimuli (light) being able to regulate given biological functions. Supervision of students. We expect the successful candidate to sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 months.

Participation in teaching and independent teaching of courses as defined by the collective agreement.

Documented experience with metal-catalyzed reactions (olefination metathesis and related reactions) will be a considered an added value. Application documents: - Letter of motivation including research interests - Academic curriculum vitae - List of publications, evidence of teaching experience (if available) - Degree certificates and IELTS certificate (minimum 6.5) at the start of the employment.
