Applications are invited for the following position:

Title of Post: Post Doctoral Researcher (Level 1) in Metal Anode Battery Development

 

JOB SYNOPSIS

This role will use a variety of operando and ex situ techniques (XRD,XPS,TOFSIMS,FIB-SEM,Optical microscopy) to examine metal anodes for energy storage applications. This will be combined with electrochemical testing and materials development. The postdoctoral researcher will mentor PhD students working on the project and ensure that deliverables for the project are met.

Salary Scale: €45,847 - €52,339 (maximum starting point €46,441) p.a. pro rata

  • A doctoral degree (level 10 NFQ) in chemistry, electrochemistry, materials science, physics or related topics.
  • Minimum of two 1st author publications in top quartile journals.
  • Hands on experience of materials characterization for battery development.
  • Experience of electrochemical testing of battery materials.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
