Offer Description
Work Plan: The activities to be developed within the scope of this project include, but are not limited to:
- Support in the organization and execution of studies associated with the project (experimental evaluation of intervention, communication planning structure, dissemination of results); (Tasks 5, 6 and 7)
- Fieldwork at research sites and other relevant locations; (Task, 5)
- Systematization of collected data for team presentation; (Task 5 e 6)
- Collaboration in the writing of scientific publications and participation in dissemination activities of the results; (Task 5 e 6)
- Assistance in the preparation of a strategic communication planning framework for policymakers and stakeholders; (Task 5)
- Contribution to the research culture of the Strategic
Communication Research Group / ICNOVA. (Task 5 e7)
These activities serve to develop the research skills of the grantee and may also serve as the basis for a master’s dissertation.
Grant duration: six (6) months (starting in November 2025), The contract may be renewed until the end of the project .
Application Documents: Applications must include all required documents to avoid exclusion. No document submitted after the application deadline will be accepted:
- Detailed and updated Curriculum Vitae;
- Motivation Letter (maximum 4 pages), explaining the applicant's interest in the project and describing the experience and skills they believe will contribute to the project's success;
- Degree certificates proving that the applicant meets the required academic qualifications, including final grades;
- For degrees obtained abroad: proof of recognition according to Decree-Law No. 66/2018, of August 16. If recognition is not available at the time of application, a statement of commitment must be provided, ensuring that recognition will be completed before signing the grant contract. However, recognition must be submitted before contract signing.
- Statement of honor confirming that the applicant has not previously received another research grant directly or indirectly funded by FCT.
Eligibility requirements:
Candidates must have the following mandatory requirements:
1.Hold an academic degree in Communication Sciences, Specialization in Strategic Communication preferred;
2. Knowledge or experience in scientific and institutional activities in Strategic Communication;
3.Immediate availability;
4. Hold a master's degree and be enrolled in a non-degree course as part of the educational project of a higher education institution, developed in association or co-operation with one or more R&D units. educational project of a higher education institution, developed in association or co-operation with one or more R&D units.
Prefered requirements:
a )Research experience in scientific projects;
b) Interest in developing a dissertation within the scope of the project;
c) Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in Portuguese and English, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences and stakeholders;
d) Ability to work independently and in a team, with good time management and task organization;
e) Strong time management and planning skills, including meeting deadlines and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Additional Information
The grant provides a monthly amount of € €1 309,64, paid by bank transfer in accordance with the table for grants directly awarded by the FCT, I.P. in the country (http://www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores). This sum is in addition to the payment of the Volunteer Social Security contribution, corresponding to the first scale, should the grant holder opt for its attribution, in addition to a personal accident insurance policy.
Selection process: The selection methods will be:
- Curriculum evaluation, based on project objectives and the specific nature of the research work to be developed, rated from 1 to 10 points (50%);
- Motivation letter, referred to in point 11.2, section b), rated from 1 to 10 points (20%);
- Other relevant factors, rated from 1 to 10 points (10%);
- Selection interview to assess professional and behavioral skills, rated from 1 to 10 points (20%).
The selection interview will be carried out to the five candidates with the best classification in the curriculum evaluation and letter of recommendation, provided that the arithmetic average resulting from the grade in the curriculum evaluation and motivation letter is equal to or greater than 5.5 points.
