*Location: London or Berlin*
*Closing date: 20th April 2020*
Nature Human Behaviour seeks an Associate or Senior Editor with a background in social psychology or allied disciplines to join its editorial team.
Launched in January 2017, Nature Human Behaviour publishes research of outstanding significance into any aspect of individual or collective human behaviour. The journal has a strong multidisciplinary identity, encompassing research across the social, biological, health, and physical sciences.
We are seeking applicants with a PhD in social psychology or allied disciplines, with superior abilities in the communication of scientific ideas, and willingness and ability to learn new fields. We are particularly interested in candidates with a multidisciplinary background and broad interests in human behaviour research, as the role involves engaging with research in multiple diverse disciplines.
This is a full-time position. No prior editorial experience is required, although applicants with significant editorial experience will be considered for a Senior Editor position.
The successful candidate will report to the Chief Editor and play an important role in shaping the content and profile of the journal. They will participate in all aspects of the editorial process, including manuscript selection and peer review, commissioning and editing News & Views and Reviews, and writing for the journal. A key aspect of the job is liaising with the research community through laboratory visits and international conferences, and therefore willingness to travel is essential.
The position is offered on a full-time, permanent basis and will be located in our London or Berlin offices.
To apply, please complete the online application and submit your CV, a covering letter, and a concise discussion (500 words maximum) of recent scientific developments in human behaviour research which you have found particularly exciting (stating why).
Applications will be reviewed upon receipt and should arrive no later than *20th April 2020*. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, interviews will take place over video conference.
