A Computational analyst/bioinformatics position in drug and target discovery for human liver disease and cancer using single cell RNASeq

A position on a postdoctoral or project leader level is open at the Inserm Institute for Viral and Liver Disease (Inserm U1110) and the Laboratory of Excellence HepSYS (Head: Prof. Thomas F. Baumert, MD) at the University of Strasbourg, France.

The institute is located in a state-of-the-art infrastructure and an internationally renowned research environment with all tech platforms on campus. Inserm and the University of Strasbourg are consistently ranked among the leading research organisations. The institute focuses on the investigation of the cell circuits of liver disease to discover and develop novel preventive and therapeutic strategies for liver disease and cancer (Eller and Heydmann et al. The successful candidate will lead a cutting-edge project to uncover key drivers of chronic liver disease and cancer allowing to discover novel therapeutic approaches using patient-derived models with integrative computational analyses of single cell RNASeq, epigenetics, proteomics. Profile

You are a highly motivated PhD (or MD, PhD) with a strong background in computational analyses/bioinformatics and cell or disease biology, have a solid track record of publications and are used to work in an international environment. You have knowledge of R and Linux and you are familiar with Scripts like Bash, Python, or Perl.

You have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
